This was an easy choice since filet mignons are some of the most tender cuts of meat you can buy. The only question is did the filet mignons deliver?

Again, the way they package these things is just incredible. The beef arrived in such a way that its freshness and quality were still high, so it pretty much came down to preparing it properly.
Our approach to enjoying any good burger is similar to how we like our steaks, properly seasoned and grilled to our preferred doneness (a nice sear with the inside still juicy and tender).
As it turned out, even these were fantastic! The filets were tender, it was juicy, and the flavor of the beef oozed out with every bite!
Fresh or Frozen: How Your Omaha Steaks Arrive
Your Omaha Steaks meat products are always delivered frozen! That's the best way to retain the freshness! Each product is placed in a gift pack with dry ice before it's placed in a Styrofoam container [1].
The reasoning for this is it ensures the products remain cool throughout the day they're delivered to you! The dry ice is also enough to keep one or two orders frozen during shipping and for sous vide cooking.
However, some will ship theirs in polystyrene boxes since this insulates the ice better.
